Summit Scholarships
As part of the Summit Athletic Running Club’s mission to encourage all forms of running, a scholarship program has been established, a scholarship program has been set to further assist in the development of local high school runners in their pursuit of life-long fitness.
All high school seniors residing in the Summit County area or children (high school seniors) of SARC members residing outside of Summit County will be eligible to apply for this scholarship. A minimum of one male and one female student will be selected per year to receive an award of $500 up to $2,000 each, upon written evidence of enrollment in a university or college. Winners will be announced by the beginning of July each year.
Criteria for Application

The applicant must be a high school senior in good standing and in the process of applying to a college academic program.

Demonstrate an interest and commitment to running.

Maintain a 2.5 (or higher) G.P.A. during their high school career.

Financial need is not a consideration.
Process
A written application for the scholarship program will need to be completed and submitted to the Summit Athletic Running Club by May 31st, 2021. As part of the application process, two letters of reference will need to be included outlining the applicant’s involvement in running and commitment to the sport. Please be sure to include a copy of your most recent school transcript and ACT or SAT scores. Completed materials should be submitted to: Summit Athletic Club, P.O.
